When your child is sick, we are here to help!
At LCP, we have a highly trained team to work with you to triage your child's illness. Through our system, we will be able to decide the best course of treatment to help your child on the road to recovery the fastest.
When you call, the phone will be answered by a person! No voice mail or menus! The last thing you need when your child is sick is to talk to a computer.
This person will discuss your problem, and either schedule an appointment or take a message for you to discuss your problem with our highly-trained nurses.
The nurses will help to decide whether your child needs an immediate appointment, or to be scheduled for a longer, more in-depth evaluation for a complicated problem at a later time.
If you call early enough, (usually before 2 PM) we can often schedule an appointment for an acute problem that same day.
We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. We have same day sick appointments for most acute problems. Unlike most other practices, we won't ship you off to an urgent care center.
After hours, our nighttime nurse traige service is there to help you with expert advice. They will hgive you the advice you need to deal with your emergency.
We are not a walk-in clinic. We schedule our sick patients, so you don't have to spend hours waiting like in other clinics. You will be very pleased with how quickly you are seen.
If you would like us to see more than one child, please schedule both of them when you make your appointment. Without an appointment, we may not be able to see a sick sibling right away, and you may be asked to wait while the provider sees a scheduled patient who may be waiting.
